Victoria David admits David would file for divorce if he saw her without brows

Victoria Beckham sings karaoke with David on night out

Victoria Beckham has revealed husband David Beckham has never seen her natural eyebrows despite the pair being married for over 20 years. The singer turned fashion designer said her brows are so important to her appearance that David would probably consider divorcing her if he ever saw her without them.

Speaking to make-up artist Lisa Eldridge in a YouTube video this month, she shared: “You know, David has never seen me without my brow. Honestly, he’d file for divorce, he would.” Intrigued to know more about her admission, Lisa asked: “Do you sleep in the brow then or do you have to get up early and get it on?” Victoria joked that she hoped David’s eyesight was “that bad” he didn’t notice them, adding: “He’s not focused that early.”

Victoria echoed her words in her latest interview with Allure, admitting she is “obsessed” with her brows, adding: “My husband has never seen me without my eyebrows.” The couple, who tied the knot back in 1999, share four children together; Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper.

In the same interview, Victoria revealed that she and David are “strict” parents and have a list of rules to abide by in their home. “Work hard. Be kind. Be nice. Making eye contact is important. Be polite, shake hands, those kinds of things,” she shared.

“We’re both strict parents without wanting to stifle them too much.” The mother-of-four added their children were also “very humble” with a “good sense of humour”.

Fans of the pair got a rare insight into the pair’s usually private marriage back in October in David’s self-titled Netflix documentary. Reflecting on the series, Victoria said it was “uncomfortable” to not be in control of the film, but believes it worked out well as people saw the “real” her.

“If I’d been all over it in a controlling way — how do I look from this angle? — maybe the outcome would’ve been very different,” she admitted. One particular moment that humoured fans during the documentary was when Victoria said she was working class, despite her dad owning a rolls royce.

Speaking to the camera, Victoria tried to explain that she came from humble beginnings in a “very working class” family before David popped his head in the room to correct her. Interrupting her mid-interview, he repeatedlty asked: “Be honest, what car did your dad drive you to school in?”

As she tried to explain, David continued to press her for the straight answer to which she eventually gave in and said: “OK, in the eighties, my dad had a rolls royce.” The viral moment led Victoria to release a t-shirt with the slogan, ‘My dad drove me in, yes, a rolls-royce’ as she joked: “I can’t fight it anymore.”

Also in the documentary, the pair touched upon the most difficult time in their marriage when David was accused of having an affair, a claim he has always denied. Addressing that period of time, she shared: “It was the hardest period for us, because it felt like the world was against us. And here’s the thing: We were against each other, if I’m being completely honest.”

David went on to say he didn’t know how they got through that part of their marriage, but “needed to fight for each other”.
