Im A Celeb Sam Thompsons mum breaks down in tears as he sends her message
I’m A Celebrity star Sam Thompson’s mum was overcome with emotion after hearing a secret message he had recorded for her.
The reality star is one of many famous faces roughing it up the Aussie jungle for this year’s series. Since the first episode, Sam has become a firm favourite with viewers.
And on Wednesday (December 5) Sam’s mum, Karen, appeared on Hits Radio Breakfast to discuss her “little boy’s” time on the show so far. But things soon took an emotional turn when she came across a secret message from Sam.

“I’m not enjoying it,’ Karen confessed, about watching Sam on the show. “It’s nerve-wracking as it’s my little boy, my child! I dread it every evening, but he is just being himself and he seems to be happy, and he looks well and that’s the main thing,” she added.
Radio show host Fleur East and co-presenters James and Matt then played Sam’s mum a message that he had recorded before he jetted off to Australia. Hearing his voice, Karen broke down in tears as Sam told her how he loved her and missed her.
Wiping away the tears, she said: “You shouldn’t have shown me that now – it’s really horrible.” The radio team then added how proud they were of Sam and the tears started falling again.
“You’re very kind and I don’t know if everyone has fallen in love with him but you’re going to make me cry again you have to stop!” she said. Karen added: “I would love him to win it, it would just be a dream and it would make for the most incredible Christmas!”
When asked what has been her least favourite moment of the show, Karen said it was when Sam slapped former professional boxer Tony Bellew in the face. She confessed: “Time froze for that split second.

In other I’m A Celeb news, Fred Sirieix became the third famous face to get vote off the show. The First Dates star left the jungle during Tuesday’s episode (December 5).
