I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! fans couldn't believe what they were hearing after Nigel Farage told Josie Gibson to "shut up".

During Friday's (December 1) show a new camp leader was appointed after Sam Thompson was taken off the thrown. Trying to find his thoughts on the matter, Josie quizzed Nigel on his thoughts.

But Nigel's response were not as expected as he asked Josie if she wanted to eat. Confused by his statement, Josie said yes. Nigel then turned her and said "Well shut up then" and reminded her breaking rules which ultimately saw Sam loose his position.

Heading to X, formerly known as Twitter, fans shared their thoughts on Nigel. One viewer said: "Nigel actually opened his rat mouth and told our “Josie” to shut up??" Another added: 'Not Nigel of all people telling Josie to shut up. Idiot." A third person said: "Nigel telling Josie to shut up made me so angry I won’t lie."

Earlier in the episode, Josie was comforted by Danielle Harold after she had a "wobble" about leaving her young son Reggie to take part in the show. The former EastEnders actress asked: "What’s the matter?" Josie replied: "I just miss my little boy. I shouldn’t have ever left him this long." Danielle comforted her and said: "100% you should, you’re showing him that you’re a strong mum, strong woman. So proud of you babe. “I hate seeing you upset. You’re the best mum."

Josie was then shown in the Bush Telegraph and admitted: "Just had a little wobble. You just feel very guilty. I’ll never leave him this long again, ever." The TV presenter is not alone in being emotional and considering leaving, with YouTuber Nella Rose having also discussed the prospect of leaving earlier this week.

It comes after Jamie Lynn Spears and Grace Dent both quit the jungle. After Britney Spears' younger sister decided to leave camp, a show spokesperson confirmed: "Jamie Lynn Spears has left I’m A Celeb on medical grounds. She’s been a fantastic campmate who has triumphed at trials and bonded well with her fellow celebrities.”

Since the 2023 season premiered on ITV last month, the former Zoey 101 star has repeatedly expressed her desire to go back home. Jamie Lynn, 31, previously threatened to quit the survival reality series after three days in the Australian jungle. She has one daughter, Maddie, 15, with ex Casey Aldridge. She also shares Ivey Joan, five, with husband Jamie Watson.

Just two days prior to Spears’s exit, Grace, 50, left the jungle camp “on medical grounds” after she was nominated for two consecutive Bushtucker trials. Now, having returned to the UK following her jungle stint, Masterchef star Grace has broken her silence following her exit. Writing in a hefty statement, she said that was "overwhelmingly sad right now" after having to leave the show.
