This Morning in chaos as show suffers blunder during caller segment

This Morning: Spin To Win prize bag gets stuck

This Morning was left in chaos after a blunder occurred during the Spin To Win segment in Thursday’s episode of the ITV show. Hosts Dermot O’Leary and Lisa Snowdon had just told a viewer they had won £1,000 when it happened.

They told the elated caller that she had also won a bag of goodies as well as the large sum of money. However, the tote which is usually drafted down from above got stuck and wouldn’t budge.

The camera panned to the bag, before Dermot, 50, and Lisa, 51, addressed the awkward blunder. Dermot said: “For the first time ever, it’s stuck,” as Lisa added: “It’s got stage fright. What can we say?”

The former X Factor presenter attempted to clarify what had happened as he explained: “It wants to make its way to you so much that it’s refusing to come down, so we are gonna send that to you.”

They then showed viewers what was supposed to be in the bag of goodies, which included a bottle, pen and a mug. The mishap comes after fans threatened to switch off after yet another new face was unveiled as a presenter in yesterday’s show.

While many new faces have been fronting the show lately, ITV competitions presenter Andi Peters stepped in because Dermot was ill.

The programme is currently using a rotation of different presenters, but with regular Josie Gibson in Australia having just finished taking part in I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, even more people have had to step in.

Andi welcomed viewers, but not everyone was impressed to see yet another unexpected host.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one viewer wrote: “Andi Peters on This Morning, no thank you #ThisMorning.”
