TOWIE star rushed to hospital with malaria as he shares update from hospital bed

Former TOWIE star Vas J Morgan has revealed that he's been rushed to hospital after contracting Malaria during a trip to Ghana.

The 35 year old reality star shared the news on his Instagram stories as he posted a snap of his arm hooked up to an IV drip.

He wrote: "3 days in Ghana and already contracted malaria.

"Road to recovery starts now."

Later, he took to his Instagram stories once again to reassure his fans that he is okay.

He wrote: "Sorry to panic everyone. I perhaps should think before posting something so worrying.

"Me and my Sagittarius need for attention.

"I am very sick but I'm in good hands and I am told I will have a very speedy recovery. Thankfully we caught it very early."

Vas then assured his fans that he would be back soon, to work on his nonprofit organisation, Vas Morgan Foundation, which fights toward better education in Africa.

The reality star was seen on The Only Way is Essex from 2014 to 2016.

He now resides in LA, where he is well-known on the socialite scene, counting many-a celebrity as his pals, including Rita Ora and Paris Jackson.

Vas recently celebrated his birthday in the A-list city, as he took to Instagram to share some snaps.

The first picture in the post saw him, dressed in leather trousers with a feathered-sleeve blazer, posing next to a blown-up image of himself as a child.

In the caption, he wrote: "Happy Birthday To Me! Baby Vas would be very proud of the man he has become. Celebrated my birthday surrounded by love last night."

Other snaps in the post included Vas with his celeb pals, including Take Me Home singer Jess Glynne, Michael Jackson's daughter, Paris, and Diana Ross' son, Evan.
